30th Anniversary of the AFDI

The French Farmers for International Development (AFDI) has recently celebrated its 30th anniversary.
The association, which was founded by the Permanant Assembly of the Chambers of Agriculture (APCA), the National Centre for Young Farmers’ (CNJA), the National Federation of Farmers’ Unions (FNSEA) and the National Confederation of Agricultural Mutual Associations, Cooperatives and Credit Bodies (CNMCCA) incorporates 16 regional associations, 5 departmental associations and one national association. Its aim is to promote rural development in the southern hemisphere countries through exchanges between farmers. Though operating mainly in West Africa and Madagascar it is also engaged in projects in Asia and continental Europe.
