With its twelve founding members – including the different funds of the French general social security scheme (Régime général), several special schemes and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Sécurité Sociale (EN3S) - ADECRI (Agence pour le développement et la coordination des relations internationales) is at the forefront of French social security action in the international arena. It has also established a presence among the European institutions via its representation office in Brussels, REIF, and organises cooperation in the area of social welfare.
Uniting the efforts of the French social security funds
ADECRI was created in 1995 to meet the growing demand on France’s main social security schemes for exchanges, partnerships and cooperation. The interest focused more specifically on those features peculiar to the French system, and the management know-how and technical expertise of France’s social security management elite.
The main purpose of ADECRI is thus to unify the efforts of the different social security funds and unions of funds with a view to providing an effective response to requests requiring coordinated action on their part. To that end, ADECRI:

Thanks to its team of permanent staff, ADECRI can coordinate all aspects of projects, including selection and responses to calls for tender, administrative and financial planning and supervision of projects, communication and public relations, and project monitoring and evaluation.
ADECRI’s initiatives in the area of communication include the dissemination of multilingual information on the French social welfare system, and an internet site providing an overview of the system.
Representation in Brussels
In 2003, ADECRI opened a permanent representation office in the Maison Européenne de la Protection Sociale in Brussels. The purpose of REIF (Représentation des institutions françaises de Sécurité sociale auprès de l’Union Européenne) is two-fold
